About Sarah Spring

Sarah Spring is a New York–based stage and screen actor known for her command of classical text, emotional precision, and grounded physicality. A graduate of Fordham University at Lincoln Center with a BA in Theater Performance, she brings a rigorous training background to roles that demand clarity, intelligence, and depth.

Her theater work spans Shakespeare, contemporary drama, and new works, with notable performances including Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Regan in King Lear, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Isabella in Measure for Measure, and Viola in Twelfth Night. She has also appeared in a wide range of character-driven productions, from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest to It’s a Wonderful Life and Orpheus Descending, collaborating with directors such as Austin Pendleton and Charles E. Gerber.

On screen, Sarah has appeared in independent films and short-form projects, including the upcoming feature A King’s Curtain, as well as The Dining Room, Guy in Crosswalk Sees Nirvana, and Learn How to Sleep. Her on-camera work reflects the same text-forward, emotionally grounded approach that defines her stage performances.

Sarah’s training includes study with Mercedes Ruehl, Jessica Hecht, Austin Pendleton, Tina Benko, and Samuel D. Hunter, with specialized work in Shakespeare, text analysis, voice, movement, dialects, improv, and on-camera technique. She also studied theater and vocal performance at Interlochen Arts Academy.

In addition to acting, she is a mezzo-soprano and musician (piano and ukulele), a marathon runner, and a dedicated yoga practitioner. Her work is marked by discipline, curiosity, and a deep respect for language—qualities that continue to shape her evolving body of work across stage and screen.

“Sarah’s work stays with me so vividly it feels like it was yesterday. Her art, dedication, and electricity are truly exceptional.”
